The Legend, Howard Phillip Lovecraft, My fave author is buried in RI not far from me, and i finally had a chance to go and see his grave. I cant describe how it felt, but it inspired.....

I've been there a few times when I used to live in Providence. Did you note the carvings in the strange big tree behind it- I recall a pentagram and such, I don't know what species the tree is, but it has that strange elephantine bark that makes it seem somewhat alive- like one of Sub-Niggurath's offspring. Someone once scrawled 'YOG-SOTHOTH' on the back of the stone in charcoal. 
Strangely (and somehow most appropriately) I've heard he's not actually buried there, he was supposedly moved to an adjacent private burial site. Some years back someone tried to dig him up, so I suppose this move was an attempt to prevent repeat excavations. Just like one of his stories.....
